  2. TaskView V 4.1 for Microsoft Windows 95 and Windows NT, Intel Platforms.

  5.     TaskView is a utility program for Microsoft Windows 95, and Windows NT 
  6.     that provides the ability to view and manage the active tasks currently 
  7.     operating on the computer. It is particularly useful for terminating 
  8.     programs that are no longer cooperative and to set the priorities of 
  9.     operating tasks. If you have the new Windows 95 shell and miss the old 
  10.     task manager, this is the utility for you.
  11.  
  12.     Installation, operation, and registration instructions are provided 
  13.     online in the help file TaskView.hlp. 
  14.  
  15.     The setup program can be run from the hard drive or from floppy. The 
  16.     files TaskView.exe and TaskView.hlp must be in the same directory as 
  17.     the setup program. 
  18.  
  19.     If you decide not to use TaskView, you can also use the setup program
  20.     to remove the software, leaving your computer just as it was before 
  21.     installation.

  23.     Note that the TaskView window will normally be hidden after starting
  24.     the program. Press the HotKey assigned during setup, or click on the
  25.     TaskView icon located on the Windows AppBar, to popup the TaskView 
  26.     window.

  29.     CompuServe prompt and specify registration ID 6633.

  35.     The following changes have been implemented since version 4.0;
  36.  
  37.     In addition to using a hotkey, the TaskView window can now also be 
  38.     activated by clicking the mouse on the icon in the Windows AppBar 
  39.     notification area (next to the clock).

  41.     A command was added to activate the screen saver at any time. This 
  42.     command is located on the View menu and can be added to the toolbar.
  43.  
  44.     Commands were added to select all tasks, and to invert the current
  45.     selections. These commands are on the Edit menu, and Ctrl+A and Ctrl+I
  46.     also select all and invert selections respectively.
  47.  
  48.     Performance and appearance of the detail task list were improved. 
  49.  
  50.     The task properties command now functions for more than one task 
  51.     selection at a time. 
  52.  
  53.     Note: This program requires Microsoft Windows 95 or Windows NT V 3.51 
  54.           or later.
